Focus on what you want not on what you do not want
You may come across of saying “you get what you do focus on”
I direct my attention to what I want rather then what I did not want. We get what we focus on.
Start with positive expectation
You must be very careful to consistently direct your thoughts towards producing the results you want. This will increase your sales performance.
When you go into the sales pitch, what outcome are you imaging?
- What are you anticipating prayer to picking up a telephone?
- What are you saying to yourself?
Pay attention for all week what you tell yourself about sales, about your goals and what you are capable of achieving.
Write down where you see the connection between your thoughts and your results?
If you are not sure what limiting beliefs are holding you back, just look at your current situation
Ask yourself “what would I believe in order to have created that?”
There are two things that determine your success in life and in sales:
1. How do you communicate with yourself, within your own mind and body
2. How you communicate with others
Success in selling has everything to do with how you use your imagination
How you use language to lead your mind and others’ into actions. It takes a team to build your dream.
Einstein said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge”. For knowledge is limited, whereas imagination embraces the entire world, stimulating progress, giving birth to evolution.”
Our imagination determines everything. However, your own psychology is the one piece of the puzzle that so many people miss and do not seem to realise is that true motivation comes from the drive to fulfil the values, belief systems and self-perception hidden, for the most part, within the unconscious mind.
So let’s make a distinction here – all changes begin first within the mind so if you are looking to make some positive changes in your sales success let’s start with YOU and where you are at now in terms of your results.
