Goal setting

It is time to look back and reflect on 2012.

How was 2012 for you?

Did you accomplish everything you wanted to in 2012?

If you did then congratulations!

If you didn’t, not to worry this is your chance to get a fresh new start and create what you want in your life

Remember that 2013 will be exactly what you make it!

I have prepared the Easy 7 Steps process for you to follow

to help you make 2013 Your Best Year Yet!

Step 1:  Identify Your Goals

Decide exactly what you wantbecause the first step to success is to know what you want?

Stated in the positive term – what specifically do you want?

You must be clear on what you want in all aspects of your life: Business, financial, personal, professional, health, etc.

“To get anywhere in life or business you must have a vision, a vision is to have a goal, a place where you want to go. Until you know what you want, you can NEVER achieve success”

Step 2: Write your goals down

Write down what you want your business and life to look like in 2013.

Be as specific as possible. Not only how much you want to earn, but what you want to achieve and how you want to spend your time

When you write your goal you make sure it is written as now in the present tense in positive language. Too often people state what they don’t want to happen

When you write your goal down physically on paper and it activates your mental powers and your subconscious mind works on it 24 hours a day until it’s achieved.

Step 3:   Set a deadline

Set a very specific deadline when you want to achieve this goal by. This motivates and drives you to achieve that goal by the date you choose.

Step 4:  Make a list

Make a list of everything you can do to achieve that goal. Keep writing everything you can think of until you have broken your ultimate goal down into several subgoals (Break your goal down until it is easy to take action)

Step 5:  Organise the list

Priorities the list and organise into your action plan

What’s the most important thing you can do on this list?

The second thing is the order. What you need to do before you do something else.

Step 6:   Take actionideas are worthless unless we act on them

Now that you have your goal, your deadline, and your goal is broken down into subgoals,

You must take action and do something immediately toward achieving that goal.

The greatest quality of success is courage, and courage is the ability to take action with no guarantee of success.

Firstly when you take action you get immediate feedback which enables you to see if you on track. Second, when you take action, you get ideas because it’s the only action that triggers ideas to help you to take the next action and step, and the third advantage is that when you take action you gain confidence.

The great thing is that you can always SEE AT LEAST ONE ACTION that you can take immediately.

So do something every day that brings you closer to your goal, don’t make excuses. Only those who are willing to take action every day to move along to their goal will actually achieve it.

Step 7: Visualise your goal daily as you already achieve it

Visualization is frequently visualising how something is going to happen in your mind’s eye. This is important because our minds work in pictures

Some of the most well-known and successful people in the world use this technique, a few of these people include

Michael Phelps, Andre Agassi, Donald Trump  Bill Gates.

Nearly everyone in sports practices this technique. It has been proven to enhance performance better than practice alone

Now it’s time for you to take action and do something every day to achieve it.

So what are your goals for 2013?  I’d love to hear what you’re working towards
